Characteristics[]
Dreggodyne is a massive draconian Loomian. It is primarily purple with a rotund build with thick legs and small forearms. Its claws, horns and wings have red accents. It has a pair of wide, webbed wings and a breastplate made of eggshell that resembles a fur-lined robe. It wears a crown, also made of broken eggshell, and has two large horns on either side of its head. It has some smaller horns set into its brow and coming off its jaw. It has a row of spikes running down its neck and back, with a pair of larger spikes about halfway down its tail and an elaborate spade at the tip. Its body is covered in stripes. The color of its crown, wings and stripes, and the pattern on its breastplate, varies depending on the pattern of its egg. Faberge variants additionally wear a pendant and ring, and have a more elaborate jeweled crown and wings.
Origin[]
Dreggodyne may be a portmanteau of the words "draco", a Latin term for dragon, “dragon”, "egg", and "dynasty”, a term for a long rule of a royal line, referring to its long lifespan. The spade on the tip of its tail resembles a Fleur-de-lis, a symbol often used to represent French royalty and nobility.
Description[]
The Loomipedia entry for Dreggodyne in each installment of Loomian Legacy is listed as follows:
This Loomian burrows underground and lays eggs for 300 years. After it has finished laying eggs [sic] it will begin to fire them into the air [sic] causing an egg shower. The eggs land on the ground and hatch [sic] causing a massive outbreak of Kyeggo.
Dreggodyne is available in all games of the Loomian Legacy series.
Dreggodyne and its evolutionary line are the first and currently only Loomians to have multiple different Gleaming colorations for the same form.
Dreggodyne's Loomipedia entry is so long that it breaks the bounds of the text box.
Dreggodyne is currently the only Loomian that must have a Radiant effect manually applied to it (via the Radianite Egg) rather than needing to be encountered with the effect.
The ancient language written on Dreggodyne's Pyramind form translates to "EGG".
