Characteristics

Eruptidon appears to be a bipedal skink with an orange body plated with black stripes. Its two arms are a shade of dark orange with long claws at the end. Its head is black on the top side and orange on the bottom, with two red spots surrounding its eyes.

Magmadire Eruptidon likely takes on certain characteristics of a European dragon. It becomes quadrupedal and gains wings made of magma. The flames around its eyes have darkened in shade, and its tail now resembles a thruster. Its forearms have also turned black with orange accents, as has the rest of its body.

Origin

Eruptidon seems to be based on the red-eyed crocodile skink, both sharing a red-orange coloring around their eyes. Its forked tongue, large claws, and bipedal stance suggest inspiration from monitor lizards, though its appearance could also be based on large theropod dinosaurs with three toes and claws on each limb. Its name is a portmanteau of eruption and -don (tooth), a suffix found in many dinosaur names, referring to its type and appearance.
