Biology[]
Characteristics[]
Florant is a large insect Loomian with a brown body and an orange-colored stripe. It has four green legs resembling leaves, black eyes with white pupils, two leaf-shaped antennae and a “W” shaped mouth. Florant has two flowers growing from it; a larger one on its back, and a smaller one on its head. These can come in different colors.
Origin[]
The name Florant is a portmanteau of flora and ant, referring to Florant's appearance, type and species.
Description[]
The Loomipedia entry for Florant in each installment of Loomian Legacy is listed as follows:
Studies have been conducted to try to be able to predict the color of a Florant's flower before it buds, but each theory is proven wrong sooner or later.
Florant is available in all games of the Loomian Legacy series.
Florant has 2048 different bud color variations, as the color is based on its 32 different hues with 8 different levels of saturation, and 8 different levels of brightness. The color is completely random, even in rallied Florant. These variations are purely aesthetic and do not affect any of its stats.
A newly evolved Florant may appear to have a white bud on its model, but the color will eventually correct to the one displayed on its menu sprite. Grayscale buds do not exist on normal Florant.
The color of a Florant's bud is retained when it Soul Bursts, becoming the color of its flowers and the flytrap's back leaves. Event reskins of Florant will have white flowers when they Soul Burst, which is the only way to see white flowers on a player-owned Florant.
Florant and Terrafly are the first ever fully evolved Loomians to be found in the wild.
Because of this, Florant and Terrafly are also the first ever fully evolved Loomians to have a Corrupt form.
Florant, along with Propae and Coonucopia, are the only Loomians that are obtainable below their level of evolution from their pre-evolution.
Florant is the first and only Loomian that can evolve another Loomian, being able to evolve Vari into Buzzolen by releasing pollen and allowing it to stick onto the Vari if Florant has a perfect bond.
With the initial release of Flychomp Florant, Gleaming forms of Florant transformed into a normal form of Flychomp Florant instead of its respective Gleaming form. This was later fixed.
