Gale Forest is a forest located next to Cheshma Town. This area is home to many Loomians belonging to the Bug or Toxic-types. The path through the forest is a loop that starts and ends in Cheshma Town.

Description[]

Gale Forest is a loop-shaped path. Facing the forest from Cheshma Town, two paths can be seen by the player: one each on the left and right. The left path is the exit to the forest and has ledges, which are unable to be accessed at the entrance area because players cannot jump in the game. The right path is the entrance, with slopes so the player can ascend. Going through, there is a split, in which the left split leads to a cavern with a geyser and the right split continues the path in an anti-clockwise loop.

Near the end of the path, an enclosure with pink cherry blossom trees can be accessed, where the corrupt Duskit is found. The back of that enclosure contains a Move Manual. However, it is blocked by a veil of darkness and can only be accessed if the player has the Stunning Flash LoomiWatch app. Continuing on the path, the player is able to descend the afore-mentioned ledges and leave the forest back into Cheshma Town.

Notable Event[]

VS Corrupt Duskit[]

Corrupted Duskit

The Corrupted Duskit

When the player first enters the forest, they are greeted by a cutscene where an old man informs a pair of police officers that he was attacked by Loomians possessed by evil spirits. The police officers do not investigate, saying that Duskit, the guardian spirit of Gale Forest, would never allow that to happen. As the police officers leave, the old man requests the player to assist in the investigation of the corruption.

The player travels through the forest, and after battling several trainers, encounters the first Tablet piece. Upon sending the Tablet piece to the player's father, he remarks about something behind the player – Duskit has appeared. However, the Duskit is corrupted, and a battle ensues. The Corrupt Duskit cannot be caught during this fight, but defeating it will purify it and release Duskit as a Roaming Encounter.

Game Difference[]

Gale Forest in Loomian Legacy - Veils of Shadow is much larger than its counterpart in the prequel game Brick Bronze. It also is built in the shape of a loop, meaning that players do not have to backtrack their steps to leave the forest. This is in contrast to its Brick Bronze counterpart, where the forest led to a dead end. There is also an MM (or a TM in Brick Bronze) to collect in both games.

v0.1.0 Gale Forest was added to the game.

Trivia[]

  • Gale Forest contains a stone statue of a canine with green eyes that is similar to the red-eyed statues in the heart of Igneus Hollow and on Lotusun Beach which also say: “What a strange statue... You can feel it peering into your soul.”
  • This forest was named from the word gale, meaning strong wind.
  • Looking up from the loop, a set of inaccessible ruins can be seen. An NPC nearby mentions not being able to find the ruins.
  • During heavy rainfall, Gale Forest is pitch black.
  • If a player disconnected while redeeming a Plush Duskit reskin from a code, causing it to have the Indifferent personality, interacting with the gravestone beneath the sakura tree allows them to change the personality of the Duskit to a pure positive personality, once only.
