A Gleaming Loomian is a rare kind of Loomian that has an abnormal coloration and a glowing aura. The differences of regular and Gleaming Loomians are purely aesthetic—whether a Loomian is Gleaming or not has no effect on its stats.

According to a resident at Mitis Town, there are two known variations of the gleam gene: Alpha Gleam and Gamma Gleam. This person offers a sidequest to show her a Gleaming Loomian, which she will reward with a Boost Token.

Alpha Gleam[]

This variation of the Gleam gene can be found in any Loomian encountered through the wild, rallied or received as a gift with a 1/4096 base chance.

Alpha

Alpha Gleaming Loomians have sparkle effects around them and have different colors. In addition to their unusual appearance, Alpha Gleaming Loomians can be identified by a light-blue symbol with the Greek letter alpha (α) on their Summary page, and are also marked with a blue marker on the trading UI.

Gamma Gleam[]

This variation of the Gleam gene can only be found in a Loomian species after the player completes the Loomian Mastery for that Loomian. They can be found in any Loomian encountered through any means other than rallying, such as Set Encounters, Wild Encounters, or Loomians received as a gift. They are five times rarer than an Alpha Gleam, and as such have a 1/20480 base chance.

Gamma

Like Alpha Gleaming Loomians, Gamma Gleaming Loomians have different colors and a sparkling effect. However, they also have one of 35 variants of wisps that orbits around them. Each wisp has an equal chance to appear, except for the rainbow wisp, which has an added 1/125 (0.8%) chance of appearing around a Gamma Gleaming Loomian. Wisp Bottles can be used to change a Gamma Gleaming Loomian's wisp, but cannot be used to change Loomians with a rainbow wisp or to create a rainbow wisp. In addition to their unusual appearance, Gamma Gleaming Loomians can be identified by a green symbol with the Greek letter gamma (γ) on their summary page, and are also marked with a green marker on the trading UI.

Rarities[]

Base Rarities[]

The table below shows the rarities of encountering Gleaming Loomians.

Boosts Alpha Gamma
None 1/4096 (0.02%) 1/20480 (0.005%)
Gleaming Charm 1/2048 (0.05%) 1/10240 (0.01%)
Gleaming Encounters ×16 LoomiBoost 1/256 (0.39%) 1/1280 (0.08%)
Loomiboost + Charm 1/128 (0.78%) 1/640 (0.16%)

Gleaming Pity[]

Gleaming Pity

When using a Gleaming Encounters ×16 LoomiBoost, Gleaming Pity can be enabled on the LoomiBoost menu to guarantee a Gleaming encounter. When on, a counter will start either at 256 if the player does not have the Gleaming Charm or at 128 if the player does. Every boosted Wild Encounter will reduce the counter by one. Fishing, Set Encounters, Rallied Loomians and Loomians obtained as a gift do not affect the pity counter. When it reaches one, the next boosted encounter is guaranteed to be Gleaming. The counter is reset if the player encounters a Gleaming Loomian on boost before the guaranteed encounter.

Pity encounters have a 1 in 5 chance of being Gamma Gleaming if the player has completed Loomian Mastery for the species encountered. Gleaming Pity cannot be turned on at the same time as Roaming and Corrupt Pity, a similar system for Roaming and Corrupt Loomians.

When Gleaming Pity is enabled, the rate of encountering Gleaming Loomians is increased, as it is impossible to get unlucky and go a long time without encountering a Gleaming Loomian. Over a large number of encounters, the player can expect to find 1.57x more Gleaming Loomians with Gleaming Pity enabled.

Fishing[]

When fishing, the odds of encountering a Gleaming Loomian are boosted by 25% if the player manages to complete all three puzzles before the bar drops below halfway. When this happens, a green ring will appear before the encounter. The following are the odds when receiving this bonus:

Green Ring Fishing

A green ring appearing around JamiyJamie that signals the bonus.

Boosts Alpha Gamma
Fishing Bonus 1/3277 (0.03%) 1/16380 (0.006%)
Fishing Bonus + Gleaming Charm 1/1638 (0.06%) 1/8192 (0.01%)
Fishing Bonus + Gleaming Encounters ×16 LoomiBoost 1/205 (0.49%) 1/1024 (0.10%)
Fishing Bonus + Loomiboost + Charm 1/102 (0.98%) 1/512 (0.20%)

Gamma Gleaming Beginner Loomians[]

Gamma Gleaming Beginner Loomians can only be obtained by purchasing Beginner Loomians from the Loomian Laboratory after completing their Loomian Mastery. As such, they are the only Gleaming Loomian that can only be found using Robux.

The table below displays the chances of getting at least one Gamma Gleaming Beginner Loomian with a given amount of Robux, assuming the player has the Gleaming Charm and always has the Gleaming Encounters ×16 LoomiBoost active. The probabilities displayed in the table apply to the total amount of Robux spent; if a player spends 10,000 Robux, but does not get a Gamma Gleaming Beginner Loomian, then their chances of acquiring one in the next 6,000 Robux is 31%, not the 63% that would apply to spending 16,000 Robux at once.

Loomians 40 120 240 400 640 1,000 1,500 2,000
Robux 1,000 3,000 6,000 10,000 16,000 25,000 37,500 50,000
Probability 6.1% 17.1% 31.3% 46.5% 63.2% 79.1% 90.4% 95.6%

Trivia[]

  • When sent out from their discs or encountered in the wild, Gleaming Loomians produce sparkling trails in addition to the sparkles that normally surround them. The one produced by an Alpha Gleaming Loomian is a light blue and forms the shape of the Greek letter alpha (α) while the trail made by Gamma Gleaming Loomians is of a greener shade of blue and forms the shape of the greek letter gamma (γ). This trail is not produced when the Loomian that the player is mounting or walking with is sent out, even if that Loomian is withdrawn and sent back out.
  • For 2021 April Fools' Day, Corrupt Loomians had wisps around them, making them look like Gamma Gleaming corrupt Loomians.
  • In the 2022 Rainbow Vari Event, all 6 Color Masters had a Gamma Gleaming Loomian as the last Loomian in their party. They are the only trainers in the game to have any type of Gleaming Loomian in their party.
