Ikazune is first mentioned by the monk Hayato, during the cutscene at the end of Igneus Hollow. He explains that Ikazune may have something to do with the corruption of the monks, and that the player has permission to investigate. The player encounters and must defeat a corrupt Ikazune, in the Pagoda on Route 5. Upon defeating the corrupt Ikazune, it becomes a Roaming Loomian, able to be found all across Roria.
Ikazune has a Reindeer form, which could only be found in Jolly Village during the 2020 Holiday Event at a 1/2000 (0.05%) chance. Alongside the Reindeer form, Ikazune also has six Halloween variants. Halloween Ikazune could be found in Uhnne Fair during the 2021 Halloween Event at a 1/3072 (0.03%) combined chance.
Attacks marked with [ATB] belong to the same type as Ikazune and will be increased in power by 25% when used. Moves marked in italics mean that only an evolution or alternate form of Ikazune will receive the afore-mentioned power boost. Moves marked in red are currently impossible for this Loomian to learn due to the current level cap of 50. These moves will likely become available for this Loomian to learn once the level cap is raised to the appropriate level. Ikazune is a fox-like Loomian that has red cuffs on its legs. It resembles a kitsune (derived from the Yokai referenced below) with a white body and a yin-yang design on its expansive mane. It has large horns. Its former master's sai is propped on its head.
The Holiday variant of Ikazune is brown-white, has 2 long antlers on its head and 2 bells attached to its fur. It resembles a reindeer, being something that symbolizes the winter holidays.
Its Halloween forms appear to be x-rays of its skeletons surrounded by its actual body highlighted in the colours stated above.

Ikazune is a portmanteau of "Ikazuchi (雷)", Japanese for thunder, and kitsune, a fox-shaped Yokai (妖怪; supernatural monsters and spirit) in Japanese folklore, referring to its species and type.

The Loomipedia entry for Ikazune in each installment of Loomian Legacy is listed as follows:
Centuries ago, it fought alongside its samurai. The lightning it summoned from the sky would light the battlefield [sic] smiting those that threatened its home. Now, it roams the world warning people of disasters to come.
Ikazune is available in all games of the Loomian Legacy series.
In the lakeside house in Heiwa Village, a lady says that Ikazune and Revenine were once the same type of Loomian. This is a reference to how foxes and wolves, embodied by these two species of Loomians, share a common ancestor.
Inside a local shrine in the west of Heiwa Village, there is a glass box holding a sharp object. The priests in the shrine say that this is the broken piece of Ikazune's former master's sai (a sword-like melee weapon), and that should Ikazune reunite with the sai, it would obtain even more power. This is in reference to the two horns on Ikazune's head, supposedly being the other part of the sai.
In practice, bringing Ikazune to the shrine currently has no effect, and the pieces cannot be interacted with.
On April 1st, 2020, as well as in subsequent years, Ikazune's in-game model is turned into a model of The Pagoda (see § Miscellaneous). It is done as an April Fools joke.
Our_Hero has a version of this Ikazune that is permanent.
Roselius has a special black and white Gamma Gleaming Ikazune with a red orb on its neck and a black and white wisp (see § Miscellaneous).
Reindeer Ikazune was designed after the idea from the Loomian Legacy Youtuber Naits. As a result, Naits was given a custom Reindeer Ikazune with golden horns and claws (see § Miscellaneous).
Ikazune is the second Loomian to have an Event-exclusive mount.
Reindeer Ikazune's mount is based off of Santa's sleigh.
This mount is also the only mount where the point of view is focused on the Loomian rather than the player.
Ikazune is the first Loomian to have two event reskins, which are Christmas Ikazune (Found in the Jolly Village from the 2020 Holiday Event) and Halloween Ikazune (Found in the Uhnne Fair from the 2021 Halloween Event).
Christmas Ikazune has a different idle animation than the normal version and the Halloween version.
In v0.4.20, Ikazune's model and animations received an update, likely to update its previously stiff design.
