Biology

Characteristics

Kanki is a crab-like Loomian with two visible black eyes which have pupils. Its shell is maroon in color with two light red circles over it. Its left claw is a mace-like claw.

Origin

Kanki is based on fiddler crabs as seen by its mace-like claw. It may also be based off of the Snapping shrimp which is also labelled the Pistol shrimp which could have influenced the weapon. Another thing it could be based on is the Heikegani labelled samurai crab which could have also influenced the weapon. It is also based on Oni, Japanese mythological demons. This is more apparent in its evolution, Kanibo. The name is derived from the word "kani (蟹)", which is Japanese for crab.
