Lagoona Lake is located to the north of Route 8. The POLUT Underwater Mining Lab rests atop this lake. Players can use the UMV located in the lab to dive into the depths of the lake to search for treasure.
Description[]
Lagoona Lake is a moderately sized lake, with its only connection being through the POLUT Underwater Mining Lab. Underneath the lake is a maze of stone trenches, which can be interacted with in certain spots to mine them for treasure. Aquatic grass lines the floor of the lake. Coral formations grow out of rocks located in the middle of the trenches. Lighting underneath the lake is limited, and the fog limits visibility further. Luminous crystal formations stick out of the walls, providing some light to navigate by. In the center of the lake lies the Deeplake Tomb, which is sealed behind two massive stone doors.
Lagoona Lake itself is considered unnatural by the residents of Roria, and has had a seismic event occur with its epicenter directly beneath the lake. The research team has yet to discover the cause of the mysterious trenches and believe it has been man-made.
Minigame[]
While in the UMV, players can scour the walls for yellow sparkles. Clicking/tapping on the sparkle while next to it activates the mining minigame. The mining minigame consists of a grid of earthen tiles which hide treasure behind them. A gauge at the top of the screen shows the wall's stability.
One to four pieces of treasure can be found during each mining attempt. Treasure generates in a square pattern, but the pieces of treasure themselves have non-square shapes, meaning that although they take up a certain amount of tiles, fewer tiles will be required to be cleared in order to unearth the object. Some treasures can also be rotated randomly at 90 degree angles. When a piece of treasure is unearthed, it will be stored to the left side of the player's screen. Treasures cannot be damaged by the drill or bomb.
If the player disconnects in the middle of a dive, they will reconnect inside the minigame. The UMV will have the same battery power as when they disconnected.
Mining[]
The UMV has two tools: a drill and a single-use dynamite. The drill can be used to clear away portions of the wall in a seven-tile diameter, slightly destabilizing the wall. The dynamite will instantly clear away tiles from a portion of the wall nine tiles in diameter, but it severely destabilizes the wall.
It takes 34 drill hits to cause the wall to collapse, and the dynamite adds the equivalent of 12 drill hits. When the wall collapses, any items found within the wall will be lost. However, if clearing the wall causes a collapse and also frees a piece of treasure, then that piece of treasure will be recovered. While the bomb is single-use for a specific minigame, the player is given a new bomb when they interact with a different wall.

Rock tiles have eight levels of hardness. The appearances are as follows, from strongest to weakest: dark boulder, dark rocks, dark rubble, dark crack, cyan boulder, cyan crack, pale rubble, pale crack. Cracked pale tiles can reveal treasure hidden beneath them on large displays. The drill deals four "damage" to the tile clicked on, so for example, a dark boulder would become a cyan boulder when clicked on.

Notable Events[]
Opening the Tomb[]
When players mine the walls of Lagoona Lake, they have a chance to find a Deeplake Relic amongst the treasure. These circular relics come in six different colors, and players can only find one of each kind. Once found, they can be taken to the center of the lake, where players can interact with the door to place the relics into the sockets. When all six relics are placed, the doors will open, granting access to Deeplake Tomb. Players can slot these relics in across multiple dives and play sessions without losing progress.
Treasures[]
For reference, the "Tile Size" is the grid size of the piece of treasure, and its "Footprint" is how many tiles the piece of treasure actually takes up.
