Talk pages for discussion?[]

Is it time for talk pages to make a comeback? What would be the expected manner of communication between editors of drafts when these pages have no natural comments section? L1242092 (talk) 04:20, December 4, 2019 (UTC)

I like talk pages and they're great for coming to an agreement on something contentious, though basically all communication regarding drafts is probably going to be "i need someone to verify this, rephrase this, and extend this section". For that sort of thing, writing messages in the draft itself is probably best, formatted in a different colour or perhaps as a tag ([citation needed]) - like what we're doing with the rallying draft.
Communication is pretty much entirely one-way (writer to future editor), and the most important part is making it clear where work needs to be done.
If there's a bigger topic you want to bring up, like "should we delete the X section", that's a good thing to dicuss in a talk page, though my guess is that most of that kind of discussion will happen in the discord. NoBanana 13:05, December 4, 2019 (UTC)
