Mitis Dig Site is the archaeology site to the west of Mitis Town center. A lengthy cutscene in this place is featured at the beginning of Loomian Legacy - Veils of Shadow where the player must come to this place and meet his or her in-game father before he or she can proceed to pick their Beginner Loomian.

Stone Tablet[]
Inside the cave of Mitis Dig Site there is a strange and dark stone tablet carved with runes. The player's in-game father and his assistant Derrick managed to decrypt the original text as: "The creature's secret lies dormant within, until the day of awakening, it comes again." However, during the storm, these runes abruptly glow and rearrange themselves before the entire tablet breaks into several pieces and blasts off.

The Storm[]
At the beginning of this game, a rainstorm quickly forms and approaches Mitis Town rapidly. The player's in-game father and his assistant Derrick hide in the cave of Mitis Dig Site and witness the runes on the rock they are investigating suddenly rearrange themselves. After watching the news report, the player's in-game mother instructs the player to find his or her father at the Mitis Dig Site.
Tablet Breaks Off[]
Once the player reaches the cave of the dig site under the downpour, Derrick and his or her in-game father begin to explain what happened to the stone tablet as the storm approached. All of a sudden, the ground shakes violently as the runes on that stone tablet glow once again and disappear. The entire rock then unexpectedly breaks into many pieces. The fragments immediately fly off in many different directions.
Derrick and the player's father immediately realize that they failed to decipher the rearranged text as if someone or something wants to prevent them from decoding it and that those tablet pieces can land anywhere in Roria. As the rainstorm ceases, the duo quickly heads over to Loomian Laboratory to update the player's mother on the situation with the player following them as well.
Game Difference[]
In the prequel game Pokémon Brick Bronze, Mitis Dig Site was not listed as a separate location from Mitis Town. The cave was completely blocked off and kept secret after player's in-game parents found something dangerous inside.
In Loomian Legacy - Veils of Shadow, Mitis Dig Site is now listed with its own location title. The cave is not boarded off, but there is not much to be found inside, other than the strange stone tablet which shattered and flew off everywhere during the storm.
