Characteristics[]
Moreel is formed of many individual eel-like Loomians. Their skin is pale greenish-yellow with deep green spots, and they have jagged mouths, long whiskers, yellow dorsal fins, ear holes, small teal tail fins and cyan lightning bolt-shaped appendages resembling horns or antennae. They live inside an old, damaged clay pot, possibly resembling an amphora, which is covered in cracks and algae. From cracks in the pot, many eyes are visible, and the tails of other Moreel protrude, functioning as flippers. One Moreel sticks its head out of the pot's top, and retreats into the pot to be replaced by another Moreel when One of Many activates. Moreel's design also bears some resemblance to a plesiosaur.
Origin[]
Moreel's design is likely based on the moray eel, a shelter-occupying predatory fish. Moreel's ability, One of Many, may be based on the grouping behavior of older moray eels. Additionally, its ability may also be based on the symbiotic relationship between moray eels and cleaner shrimp, as it removes all negative conditions from the Loomian. Its Electric-typing may come from the electric eel. Moreel residing in an amphora resembles the ecological function sunken artifacts have for underwater ecosystems, serving as habitats for various animals. Moreel may be a contraction of "moray eel," the animal that it's based on, or a portmanteau of "more," referring to its ability One of Many, and "eel."
Description[]
The Loomipedia entry for Moreel in each installment of Loomian Legacy is listed as follows:
Moreel hunt as a large group, and hide together within sunken pottery to deceive prey. It's unknown how many distinct life forms are hidden within a Moreel's pot.
Moreel is available in all games of the Loomian Legacy series.
