Mutagon is a Mind/Brawler-type Loomian introduced in Loomian Legacy - Veils of Shadow. It is an artificial creation that belongs to Vantacorp and was the first creation of Dr. Vanta. Its Holiday Form could be found in Jolly Village during the 2021 Holiday Event.

Obtaining Method

Mutagon can be found inside the initially sealed vault within Vantacorp Vault as a Set Encounter. After the battle ends, the game will show the stats page of the caught Mutagon if applicable and allow the player to rollback their progress if the result is not satisfactory, restoring all items used in the battle and returning the player's Loomians to the state they were in before the battle, thus giving the player another chance to catch Mutagon. This also applies when the player runs from the battle. Once the player decides that they are satisfied with the results from the battle, Mutagon will no longer be available as a Set Encounter and will instead roam with an extremely scarce chance to be encountered in the wild.

Biology

Characteristics

Mutagon is a tall, humanoid Loomian. It has glowing yellow eyes, and glowing yellow cones on its shoulders. It has large, muscular arms, hands, and legs, with a barrel chest and torso. Glowing greenish-yellow crystals protrude from the areas between its head and shoulders, as well as its back; Presumably being Soul Crystals.

Origin

The name Mutagon may possibly be a portmanteau of mutagen and paragon; mutagen referring to its unnatural birth from the use of Soul Crystals and paragon referring to Dr. Vanta's initial thoughts of "achieving one of [his] greatest goals" through creating Mutagon.

Mutagon may be based on the trope of creating the "Ultimate Lifeform", as well as Frankenstein's monster.

Trivia

• Mutagon was the first Loomian that can be re-battled if the results are not satisfactory. All items that were used during the battle would be restored when doing so.
• According to Vanta Log 3 in Vantacorp Vault, Mutagon caused a car accident that severely injured a teenage girl and killed the girl's parents. This girl is likely Battle Star Faust, who stated that Dr. Vanta saved her life after a car crash.
