Biology

Origin

Nymvolt's name is likely derived from nymph, an immature stage of an insect that resembles an adult, and volt, a measurement of electricity. It appears to be a literal interpretation of a "lightning bug", another name for fireflies. Its electricity-generating antennae evoke a Jacob's Ladder, a device that discharges electricity.
