Roaming Loomians are rare and powerful Loomians, named as such due to most of them wandering the whole region of Roria or other special areas. These Loomian species may be obtained through certain events in the storyline, unless they are Event-exclusive Roaming Loomians, or through other, more obscure methods. The chance of obtaining most Roaming Loomians are affected by Roaming LoomiBoosts and Game Passes, along with the pity system.
Mechanics[]
Most Roaming Loomian species have an encounter rate of 1/1024 (0.1%) in all wild-encounter areas except for fishing, varying from grass patches to caves. When encountering these Roaming Loomians, special music will play. If the player is very lucky, they can encounter the same Roaming Loomian multiple times, even if it is already captured. Nevertheless, with the general rarity being 0.1% and specific encounter rate further divided, players are advised to catch the Roaming Loomian if encountered.
Chance Boosting[]
Roaming Charm and LoomiBoost[]
The Roaming & Corrupt ×4 LoomiBoost quadruples the encounter rate for regular Roaming and Corrupt Loomians to 1/256 (0.4%). It only lasts for 15 minutes per purchase.
The Roaming Charm Game Pass grants the Roaming Charm item that doubles the encounter rate for regular Roaming and Corrupt Loomians to 1/512 (0.2%). The pass costs 450 Robux, being the most expensive out of all game passes for Loomian Legacy, but its effect is permanent. The effect of these two boosts can stack with each other, bringing the maximum encounter rate to 1/128 (0.8%).
Roaming Pity[]
When using the Roaming and Corrupt ×4 LoomiBoost, Roaming Pity can be enabled to guarantee a Roaming encounter in the wild. When on, a counter will start either at 256 if the player does not have the Roaming Charm or at 128 if the player does. Every boosted Wild Encounter will reduce the counter by one. Fishing and Set Encounters have no effect on the pity counter. When the counter reaches one, the next boosted encounter is guaranteed to be a regular Roaming Loomian.
If the player encounters a regular Roaming Loomian with the boost on before the guaranteed encounter, the counter will be reset. Roaming Pity cannot be turned on at the same time as Gleaming Pity, a similar system for Gleaming Loomians.
Strategy[]
Weaken + Status Ailment[]
Weaken the Loomian with attacks that should not be able to make it faint, until its health bar is in red. Spare is a commonly used attack for catching a Roaming Loomian because it can take down a Loomian's HP to 1, while never being able to knock out the Loomian.
Inflicting a status ailment also increases the catch rate, but players are strongly discouraged from burning, poisoning, or "dazing" the Loomian in order to prevent potential knockouts. Once the Loomian is in critical health and is asleep, paralyzed, or frozen, start throwing the most effective Discs according to the situation until it is caught.
Ace Discs[]
Ace Discs can be bought in any Loomian Goods store inside Loomian Trainer Stations, or inside the player's disc bag, even during a battle. Being the ultimate Capture Disc, Ace Discs are guaranteed to catch any Wild Loomian. Each Ace Disc costs 50 Robux and cannot be bought by the in-game currency Loomicoins. As Roaming Loomians are harder to catch compared to other Loomians, Ace Discs can help with catching, but they are not necessary.
List[]
Regular Roaming Loomian[]
All regular Roaming Loomians have a combined encounter rate of 1/1024 (0.1%) and can be boosted by the Roaming Charm game pass, as well as the corresponding LoomiBoost. Once they show up, the music immediately changes to the Roaming Encounter theme when the screen goes black (transition plays). There are currently 10 regular Roaming Loomians.
Default Roaming Loomian[]
The Loomians listed below can only be encountered as a Roaming Loomian. Set Encounters are not available for them. To trigger their Roaming encounters, certain conditions must be fulfilled. For example, players must first visit a certain location and complete the relevant story arc before Dakuda goes roaming.
ID | Image | Loomian | Type | Condition | Region |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
286 | Dakuda | Water | Defeat Dr. Vanta in The Lost City - Temple Ruins | Roria | |
289 | Cosmeleon | Simple | Under adverse weather conditions |
Roam After Boss Battle[]
The following Loomians roam around a certain region after being defeated in their Set Encounters. Note that these Loomians are corrupted during their Boss Battles, preventing them from being caught. Therefore they must be found again as Roaming Encounters before they can be captured.

Roam After Set Encounter[]
The following Loomians begin to roam after battling their Set Encounters, regardless of the result. Due to the extreme rarity, players should catch them during the Set Encounters if possible, rather than treating Roaming battles as second chances. The only exception is the special case of Glacadia and Arceros in Judgement's Keep, such that only one of them can be caught in a Set Encounter, forcing players to find the other one in a Roaming battle.

Irregular Roaming Loomian[]
Irregular Roaming Loomians are Loomians that are unaffected by the Roaming & Corrupt ×4 LoomiBoost, the Roaming Charm, and the Roaming Pity, typically are obtainable in a different way than a regular Roaming Loomian, and are usually given the designation of "Roaming" by technicality, due to their location in the Loomipedia relative to Duskit.
The Loomians listed below are categorized as "Roaming Loomians", despite their obscure obtaining method. There are currently eight irregular Roaming Loomians, five of which are currently obtainable in Roria.
