Route 8 is located northwest of Sepharite City and southeast of Lotusun Beach. It is mainly inhabited by Water-type Loomians and contains the POLUT Underwater Mining Lab atop Lagoona Lake.

Description[]

Route 8 is a gigantic water-filled route and connects from Sepharite City. The route starts with a metal tunnel and moves onto a dirt path lined by tiki-like lights. The path diverges, with the left fork going towards a dock and the right fork going towards the resort containing the POLUT Underwater Mining Lab, Kell's Shop and Bob's Pond. A path leads from the resort to the gate that leads to Lotusun Beach.

POLUT Underwater Mining Lab

The POLUT Underwater Mining Lab is a POLUT-owned facility located next to the resort atop Lagoona Lake. It allows the player to access the Underwater Mining Vessel to explore Lagoona Lake to find treasures such as Voidstones, Petroliths and Deeplake Relics. It also hosts the Refined Soul Crystal Aura Beam (R-SCAB) used to revive Loomians from Petroliths.

The Resort[]

Kell's Shop

Kell's Shop.

The Resort is located across a bridge on the right fork. It is a small neighborhood of wooden houses with paths leading to each one.

Bob's Pond[]

Main article: Bob's Pond

The entrance to Bob's Pond is located in the resort. This location allows the player to swap their fishing rod for free. All fishing rods are only aesthetically different, with no difference in encounter rates between any of the rods. Behind the shop, however, is a pond where 39 different forms of Goppies can be encountered. The difference between these Goppies is purely aesthetic, with no moveset or stat changes being observed.

Kell's Shop[]

Main article: Kell's Shop

Kell's Shop is located across from the entrance to the resort. He charges two Voidstones to craft three Voidstone Discs. Different discs cost different combinations of Voidstones. Discs crafted by Kell are 3.5 times more effective than a Capture Disc for catching one specific type of Loomian.

Notable Events[]

Rendezvous With Friends[]

Group Meetup

The Meetup

When travelling to the intersection, the player is greeted by Lucas, who says that the others are waiting for him. The two travel to the pier and greet Mabel, Lucy and Jake. The player and Jake proceed to inform the others on their infiltration of POLUT Campus while the others express their concerns. A man comes to the group to inform them that he needs help to rid himself of a Loomian that had been following him. The Loomian naturally likes Mabel, and Jake encourages her to adopt it to begin her Loomian journey. Although unsure at first, she accepts and names it Starla. The player's friends agree to meet at the beach ahead to continue their journey and leave. As a parting gift, Jake gives the player a Fishing Rod.

Mysterious Man's Dialogue[]

When the player leaves the pier to continue the journey, they can interact with the same odd man who had previously been followed by Starla. When the player interacts with him, he seems to have no memory of what happened with the player or their friends.

Route 8
During rendezvous with friends
“Excuse me... I'm sorry for bothering you all. I was walking along Route 8 when I came across this Loomian. It's been following me ever since. I noticed you kids were Loomian Trainers and was wondering if you could help.”
“Well now that that's taken care of, I'll be on my way. Thanks for the help.”
After the rendezvous with friends
“Ugh, where am I? How did I even get here? One minute I was walking the streets of Sepharite City, and the next thing I know, I'm all the way out here. Could it have been? No...”

Trivia[]

  • On the cliffside back towards Sepharite City, there is a POLUT Corp. sewer drain dumping garbage into the sea.
  • Inside of the base of one wooden building, there is a tiki-like figure with legs next to a barrel resembling the Smiling Totem.
  • In the water bodies around this route, there are several lilypads with two cattails and a lotus flower on them. These bear a resemblance to the ones atop Wiledile's head, referring to how Wiledile camouflage themselves underwater to ambush their prey.
  • This route contains several references to Pokémon Brick Bronze.
    • "Bob's Pond" is a reference to "Bob's Magik Pond" from the prequel game Pokémon Brick Bronze, where players could pay Robux to enter and catch exclusive variants of Magikarp.
    • An NPC in a wooden house states, "Can you believe what happened to Anthian City?" which is a reference to the same city from Pokémon Brick Bronze.
  • The orange cones that had once blocked the gate to Lotusun Beach were changed to pink cones in response to Loomian Legacy YouTuber WarmConal007 tweeting about how he hated the orange cones.
    • Subsequently, the pink cones were changed to green cones after WarmConal007 tweeted about how he hated the pink cones as well.
    • Upon the release of the Oxidrake update, the cones were changed back to orange, but were upside-down.
    • After the Wresolen update, 3 of the cones were changed to a green cone, a pink cone with a Rainbow Wisp and an indigo cone. This is likely a nod to the Alpha Gleam, Gamma Gleam, and Corrupt Loomian variants. The fourth cone was simply an orange cone, right-side up.
    • After the Buzzolen update, the cones were removed and players could enter the gate. However, the gate would lead back to Route 8, and there would be orange cones blocking the gate again.
    • After the removal of the Weekend Bundle Event, the orange cones were back to normal in front of the gate.
