Biology[]
Characteristics[]
Twilat is a small rodent-like Loomian with a predominately orange body. It has dark brown eyes and whiskers as well as the tips of its ears and tail. This Loomian has powerful back legs that are designed to help escape predators.
The skin of Twilat's rainbow form constantly changes through the rainbow colors. It also has a rainbow wisp, despite not being marked as a Gamma Gleaming Loomian in its overview.
Origin[]
Twilat's design is based on a kangaroo rat. The name "Twilat" is a portmanteau of twilight and rat, being a reference to its species and possibly hinting towards it being nocturnal, with one of its branch evolutions Umbrat only available at night. It might also represent that twilight is one of the few times that both light and dark are present, a reference to one of its evolutions, Tiklipse, which has a light/dark theme.
Description[]
The Loomipedia entry for Twilat in each installment of Loomian Legacy is listed as follows:
Twilat is the first Loomian species to have branched evolutions in the Loomian Legacy series, having a three-way branched evolution.
Twilat is the first and only Loomian that evolves depending on the time of day.
Twilat is the first Loomian that is able to evolve when knowing a certain move, with the second and third being Cryocub and Leopaw, respectively.
Twilat and Vari are the only Loomians that can lose their typing after evolution.
However, since Vari can evolve into Cervolen, Twilat is the only Loomian that cannot keep its type after evolution.
Twilat is one of eleven Loomians to make an appearance in the game before becoming accessible, the others being Kabunga, Slugling, Gastroak, Goppie, Polypi, Moldecca, Jellusa, Somata and Clionae, along with an unnamed Loomian that first appeared in Route 8 known as Starla.
On April 1st, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Twilat's in-game model was turned much larger than usual. This was done as an April Fool's joke.
The giveaways of this Loomian's Rainbow form are likely in celebration of Pride Month.
Twilat's evolution level, 22, is the same as its former Loomipedia ID.
The Twilat mask used in the Jolly Festival and on Mimask looks remarkably different from Twilat's actual model, possibly hinting at a remodel in the future.
