All upcoming content is subject to change.

General Roadmap[]

Roadmap 06012023

Loomian Legacy Roadmap.

The general roadmap for future content in Loomian Legacy shows what's to come with the next major updates to the game. The next major update is set to include a PvP overhaul that will make PvP preparation easier and add Ranked mode to the Battle Colosseum, along with many other battle changes. Route 9 is expected to be a snowy route full of Ice-type Loomians. Finally, Raid Battles will become a permanent addition to the game sometime in the future, adding new Loomians, Soul Burst Crystal rewards and much more.[1]

Next Update: UMV and Arcade Additions[]

Update released.
The next content update will arrive to Loomian Legacy on April 19th. It will include new things to discover in Lagoona Lake along with functionality to the Zuelooong and Propae Pummel machines in the Atlanthian Arcade. New items will also be added to the Arcade Shop, including UMV Batteries.

Upcoming Locations[]

Route 9[]

A new route that will be released after the Atlanthian City Part 2 update. It is said to be "freezing cold" and will become accessible via the Cheshma Train Station.

Frostveil[]

A new location that houses the next corrupted tablet, as stated by the player's dad. It will likely become accessible after Route 9. It is not clear if Frostveil is a town, city, village, or something of the like.

Upcoming Game Mechanics[]

PvP Team Builder[]

Team Builder Reveal

Team Builder UI.

The Team Builder (also referred to as "Dream Teams") is an upcoming mechanic to be introduced in the PvP Rework update. This feature will give players the ability to freely create and test Loomian teams for PvP battles against other players' "Dream Teams". Loomians will be fully customizable, including the ability to change its Personalities, UP values, TP values, gender (if applicable), name, level, Ability, and Item. The Loomian can also be changed into its Alpha or Gamma Gleaming forms, with Gamma Gleaming Loomians also having the ability to customize its wisp. These created Loomians will not appear in the player's Loomian Care system and are exclusive to the Team Builder. Players will also be able to import teams that other players have made and export teams that they make for others to try. Dream Teams will only be able to be used in Casual ruleset battles.[2][3]

PvP Battle Backgrounds[]

With the introduction of the PvP Rework update, players will be able to choose their battle background for battles at the Battle Colosseum. Some of these backgrounds will be remastered versions of old backgrounds from Pokémon Brick Bronze, such as the Docks background, while others will be brand new additions.[4]

Raid Battles[]

Raid Battles were introduced as an experimental feature in the v0.4.8b update as a part of the 2023 Easter Event. Players were able to battle Dreggodyne and earn rewards for a limited time. When the 2023 Easter Event came to a close, Raid Battles were removed from the game. They returned for a sidequest given by Mr. Ferrix where the player is tasked with defeating the Soul Burst Loomians that are appearing throughout Roria. They returned again during the 2023 Halloween Event and 2023 Holiday Event where Willbound Metronette and Incarnate Icigool were able to be battled, respectively. Raid Battles may receive an overhaul before they make a more permanent return to the game sometime in the future.

Weather Conditions[]

Two new adverse weather conditions, Thunderstorm and Snowstorm, are expected to be released into the game sometime in the future.

In battle, Thunderstorm will increase the damage and accuracy of all Electric-type moves by 25%, and make all Loomians unable to fall asleep (and wake up any Loomians already asleep).[5] It is unknown what Snowstorm will do in battle.

Both weathers are expected to have a move that summons the weather in battle, like Hazy Shroud for Dense Fog.

Upcoming Loomians and Revamps[]

Starla[]

Starla is the nickname of a Loomian which first appeared in Route 8. It is currently Mabel's first and only Loomian as a Loomian Trainer. Only Starla's appearance and call sound is known. It is expected to make future appearances in the game.

Moldecca[]

Moldecca is a giant whale Loomian seen swimming around Atlanthian City and is spoken about when the player arrives in Atlanthian City for their first time. It's said that Moldecca showed up a few years ago, with people theorizing it could be trying to protect the city. After the story events at the Lost City, Moldecca starts swimming towards land, specifically the Battle Colosseum. This Loomian is expected to make future appearances in the game.

Redesigns[]

Many Loomians, such as Sedimars, are set to receive a future model revamp.[10]

Vari Evolutions[]

Vari could receive an evolution for all 17 types, as there are 17 Loomians between Vari and Copling in the Loomipedia, 7 of which are yet to be revealed.

Upcoming Balance Changes[]

Loomian Legacy Developer and PvP Balancer JamiyJamie has revealed many changes to certain Loomians, Moves, Abilities and other game mechanics that are either confirmed to happen or may occur in the future.

The following changes are planned to come with the PvP Rework update:

  • Mechanical changes:
    • Every Loomian, including Roaming Loomians, will have their Base Stat Totals increased to give buffs to weaker Loomians and fix awkward base stats such as Kanibo's base 9 Ranged Attack stat. These changes will follow these guidelines:[11]
      • Roaming Loomians obtainable in Adventure Mode will have their Base Stat Totals increased from 650 to 700.
      • Roaming Loomians obtainable in Events will have their Base Stat Totals increased from 650 to 675.
      • All 610 BST Loomians (including final stage Beginner Loomians and Pharoglyph) will have their Base Stat Totals increased from 610 to 625.
      • All 500 BST single-stage Loomians will have their Base Stat Totals increased from 500 to 525.[12]
      • Novadeaus will have its Base Stat Total increased from 700 to 750.
      • Soul Burst forms of Roaming Loomians obtainable in Adventure Mode will have their Base Stat Totals increased from 700 to 750.
      • Soul Burst forms of Roaming Loomians obtainable in Events will have their Base Stat Totals increased from 700 to 725.
      • All 2nd stage evolutions will have their Base Stat Totals increased to be around 500.
      • All other final evolutions will have their Base Stat Totals increased to a minimum of 575.
    • A passive Energy regain system will be implemented to allow offensive Loomians to use more moves before needing to wait/rest. This system will work as follows:
      • At the end of each turn, any Loomian that is on or off the field will recover 5% of their maximum Energy.
    • The Freeze status ailment is planned to be reworked to become the Ranged counterpart to Burn. Instead of halving Melee Attack like Burn, Freeze will halve Ranged Attack.
    • The Simple Type will be changed to resist Spirit-type Moves and Ice-type Loomians will no longer resist Simple-type moves.[13]
  • Ability changes:
    • Tank is getting a nerf that allows for entry hazards, such as Icicle Trap, to break Tank.
    • Pitch-Black is getting a nerf that causes Dark-type Moves to cost 25% more Energy.
    • Resentful is getting a nerf that makes the opponent take 50% of the damage dealt to the possessor to knock it out instead of 100%.
    • Polypi's evolutionary line will have its Incandescent Ability replaced with Illuminate.
    • Luck Of The Sea is planned to be buffed to increase the damage of critical hits landed by the possessor from 150% to 225% on top of its current effect.
    • The Burning Rage and Chilling Passion Abilities are planned to be changed to only increase the Strength of Fire- and Ice-type moves by 25%, respectively, but they will cost 25% less Energy to use.
    • Captivating is planned to be changed so that its effect only works on the first turn after the possessor enters the battlefield.
  • Move changes:
    • Hypnotize and Snore Spores will be getting a rework that will make the target become drowsy instead of immediately falling asleep. If the target stays in for the next turn, they will fall asleep for 2-3 turns. If the sleeping Loomian takes 1/4th of their maximum Health, they will immediately wake up. Both moves will have their Accuracy buffed from 75% to 100% and their Energy Cost decreased from 40 to 35.
    • Complete Demolition is getting a buff with its Accuracy increasing from 90% to 100% its Energy Cost decreasing from 60 to 50.
      • Another buff to Complete Demolition that may occur in this update will allow the user to ignore the recharge turn if they knock out a Loomian with this move.
    • Tsunami will have its Energy Cost decreased from 60 to 50.
    • Gamma Pulse will have its Energy Cost decreased from 50 to 40.

    • Battle Horn will have its Energy Cost decreased from 50 to 30.
    • Air Whip will have its increased critical hit rate removed.
    • Baneful Bash and Muck Blast will have their chance to poison the target decrease from 30% to 10%.
    • Egg Lob will have its chance to affect evasion removed.
    • Adaptive Assault (Typeless) will be changed to become a +1 priority move instead of a move that has a 20% chance to lower the target's Melee Defense by one stage.
    • Slap Down will no longer be boosted in Strength when slapping down an item from a Loomian.
    • Raging Howl and Raging Tackle will have their Energy Cost decreased from 62 to 60.
    • Baffle will be changed to act similar to Ancient Roar, lowering both the Melee and Ranged Attack stats of the target before switching out of battle.
    • Oppress will have its Strength increased from 65 to 70.
    • Ill Will will have its Strength increased from 60 to 70.
    • Splitting Headache will have its Strength increased from 60 to 70.
    • Tear Down will have its Energy Cost decreased from 45 to 30 and will lower the target's evasion by one stage
    • Dart Burst will have its Strength decreased from 35 to 15, Energy Cost increased from 40 to 55, and effect changed from hitting 2-3 times with each dart having a 10% to daze the opponent, to hitting up to 10 times and having a 10% chance to daze the opponent after the attack finishes.[14]
    • Health Gift and Energy Gift are planned to be combined into a single move that will sacrifice the user to fully replenish the health and energy of an ally.
  • Ability Replacements
    • The Territorial Ability will be removed from the game with the PvP Rework as it was mostly used as a filler Ability. Any Loomian with the Ability currently will have it replaced with another ability when it gets removed. Examples of Abilities that will replace Territorial on certain Loomians can be found below.[17]
      • Chartiki is planned to receive a new ability in place of Territorial currently called "Smoldering Joy" that will boost its Ranged Attack stat by 50% while under Smoldering Heat at the cost of losing 1/8th of its maximum Health each turn.
      • Volkaloa is planned to receive a new ability in place of Territorial that will boost its Melee Attack stat by 50% at the cost of only being able to use the first move selected in battle.
      • Trumbull is planned to receive a new ability in place of Territorial currently called "Triumph" that makes the Energy Cost of the possessor and its allies' next move 0 for the following turn after an opponent faints.[18]
      • Krakaloa is planned to have Territorial replaced with Scorching Skin.
      • Kirolen is planned to have Territorial replaced with Shakedown.
    • Pyramind and Pharoglyph will receive a new Secret Ability called Coerce, which decreases the Energy Cost of the possessor's moves by 10% and increases the Energy Cost of opponents' moves by 10%.[19]
    • Scorb's evolutionary will receive a second Regular Ability currently called 'Levitate', allowing it to become immune to Earth-type attacks as well as Entry Hazards.[20]
      • Due to this change, 50% of all Scorbs, Veylens, and Gardrones with the Communication Ability will have it replaced with Levitate.
    • Lavafiend Krakaloa is planned to have its Applied Frustration Ability replaced by a new Ability that summons Smoldering Heat into battle upon switch-in or, in this case, first entering its Soul Burst form.
    • Charonyx is planned to have its Prismatic Ability replaced in the future but has no confirmed replacement at this time.
    • Skelic is planned to have its Contact Curse Ability replaced in the future, likely by Brute Force.
    • Cosmiore's Encased and Cracked forms will receive a new Secret Ability to replace Regift. It is unknown what the replacement Abilities will be.
      • Additionally, its Unleashed form is planned to have its Surrogate Ability replaced in the future but has no confirmed replacement at this time.

The following changes are planned to come with the Thunderstorm Update:

  • Deludrix will have its Shakedown Ability changed into an ability that summons Heavy Rainfall in battle upon switch-in.
  • Whippledriff will have its Compliant Ability changed into an ability that summons Strong Gusts in battle upon switch-in, thus making the ability have no possessors yet be in the game.
  • Charonyx will have its Radiance Ability changed into an ability that summons Dense Fog in battle upon switch-in, thus turning the ability back into one of Geklow's evolutionary line's signature abilities.
  • Billoforge will have its Scorching Skin Ability changed into an ability that summons Smoldering Heat in battle upon switch-in.
  • With Weather-summoning abilities coming with the Thunderstorm Update, possible buffs/nerfs for the Weather effects may take place. Smoldering Heat and Heavy Rainfall may have their main effects buffed to 50% more/less damage, the Strong Gusts main effect being buffed to a 25% increase in Speed, Dense Fog receiving a possible nerf, and Thunderstorm being buffed from its original planned secondary effect to increase the Accuracy of all moves by 25% for Electric-type Loomians on the field.[21]

The following changes do not have a set release date, and may or may not make their way into the game in the future:

  • Muck Buck is planned to have its Strength increased from 85 to 95, Energy Cost decreased from 50 to 40, Accuracy increased from 95% to 100%, and its recoil increased from 15% to 25%. [22]
  • Arapaigo will have its Apprehension Ability changed to an Ability that will double the possessor's speed when Heavy Rainfall is active on the field.
  • Sherbot will have its Shakedown Ability changed to an Ability that will double the possessor's speed when Snow Weather is active on the field.
