Vambat is a Dark-type Loomian introduced in Loomian Legacy - Veils of Shadow. It is one of the seven Beginner Loomians in Roria. Vambat was designed by Brie_Bee and Zetheous, with the latter developer also modeling this Loomian. It evolves into Dimpire starting at Level 18, which evolves into Vesperatu starting at Level 34.

Biology

Characteristics

Vambat is a bat-like Loomian that is mostly a dark violet color, with lighter purple on its paws, chest, ears and tail. It has orange wings and an orange tuft of fur covering its nose and mouth. Vambat's eyes are capable of glowing bright yellow in the dark, as seen in both the official artwork and concept art for the species.

Origin

Vambat's design is inspired by stereotypical bats. It is potentially based on the vampire bat, which is where its name comes from; the name Vambat is a portmanteau of vampire, and bat, both of which are commonly associated with darkness.

• Vambat is the second Loomian species with its details disclosed. It is the third discovered Loomian since the announcement of the Loomian Legacy series.
• Vambat shares the same name as the unofficial Pokémon Vambat from the fanmade game Pokémon Solar Light and Lunar Dark.
• Despite being designed by Brie_Bee and Zetheous, it was Onigiri_Tsuki who officially introduced Vambat on Twitter.
