Wabalisc is a tall bipedal Loomian with light brown fur and a white beard. It has two black curved horns, small red eyes, a large black nose, and a red and black striped torso.
Zombie Wabalisc retains a similar appearance to its base form. It has an overall duller color scheme with olive green fur and a gray beard. It also lacks a chunk of one of its horns, and has several exposed bits of flesh and bone, notably missing a large part of its face, exposing its skull, along with an exposed ribcage on its back.
Surfer Wabalisc's appearance also remains similar to its base form, with the main differences being a pair of sunglasses, a Leviatross-themed surfboard, and a pair of swimming trunks with a palm tree pattern.

Wabalisc's name, like its design, is based on the Italian New Year's folklore creature, the Badalisc. It may also include a rearrangement of the word bawl, referencing its frightening, eerie cry that is mentioned in its Loomipedia entry. It is also possible that it is a corruption of the word wobble, referencing the way it walks when following the player or being sent out in battle.

This rare Loomian hides out in freezing caves. The eerie cry it makes can be heard from far away and is often feared by those who hear it in the dead of night.
Wabalisc is available in all games of the Loomian Legacy series.
Wabalisc's set encounter was resettable, thus giving the player another chance to catch Wabalisc. All items that were used during the battle would be restored when doing so.
Previously, Wabalisc was the second Roaming Loomian to not have a base stat total of 650, only having a base stat total of 610 prior to the Weather update.
On May 7th, 2021, developers spawned in a Corrupt Rainbow Wisp Wabalisc for YouTuber and developer Jamiy Jamie, seemingly as a joke.
Wabalisc is the second Loomian to have its own Capture Disc, the Waba Disc, the first being Nevermare.
With the addition of Zombie Wabalisc, Wabalisc was given a slight remodel with a new idle/run animation.
